This handcrafted butterfly necklace was inspired by a journey with a friend to the Kalajun Grassland in Xinjiang, China.
She said it felt like stepping into a Hayao Miyazaki animation. But to me, it felt like stepping into my own heart.
As we wandered through the open fields, five layers of nature unfolded before our eyes—blue skies, floating white clouds, lush green mountains, boundless grasslands, and winding valleys. Each element blended into the next, forming a landscape so vivid and ever-changing. Therefore, it reminded me of life itself—unpredictable, colorful, and full of quiet magic.
Miyazaki once wrote, “I can only take you this far. The rest of the journey, you must walk alone. Don’t look back.” However, in Kalajun, the scenery felt so breathtaking that I couldn’t help but turn around again and again. Even now, it stays with me.
Our artist lovingly handcrafted this butterfly necklace and matching bracelet as part of the “Green Wilderness” collection.
